Our Legacy

1928

Foundation

Cebu Country Club was incorporated on April 11, 1928, becoming the first golf course in Cebu. Founded by American, British, and Spanish residents, the club quickly became a distinguished social and sporting institution.

1960s

Expansion

Originally a 9-hole course, another 9 holes were added in the early 1960s, transforming the club into a full 18-hole championship course.

1980s

Renovation

Under the leadership of Golf Chairman Ramontito Garcia, the course underwent major improvements and evolved into a challenging Par 72 layout.

1990s

Gary Player Redesign

Golf legend Gary Player and his associates were commissioned to redesign the course, refining the championship experience while preserving the club’s natural character.

2026

Transformation

Now, the Club embarks on a new journey as it is redeveloping the quality, aesthetics, and functionality of its clubhouse and golf course. Prompted by the need to update its facility, enhance its course playability, and meet modern environmental standards, this redevelopment project is an exciting and transformative endeavor meant to improve the experience of Cebu Country Club’s members.
